Shri. S. B. Nayar
Chairman and Managing Director

Mr. S. B. Nayar, Chairman & Managing Director of India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL), possesses rich experience of around 37 years in finance and banking industry including International and Investment Banking as well as Life Insurance Industry. Immediately, prior to joining IIFCL, he was the CEO and MD of IFCI Limited and before that he was Deputy Managing Director & Group Executive (Large Corporate Banking and Project Finance Group) in State Bank of India. Mr. Nayar also held the position of Chairman on the Board of Governors of Management Development Institute (MDI).

Shri. Sanjeev Kaushik
Deputy Managing Director 

Mr Sanjeev Kaushik is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer, presently posted as Deputy Managing Director of India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL), a wholly owned Government of India Infrastructure Financing Institution regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. In this capacity, he also plays the leading role for the Investment Advisor of the newly set up National Investment & Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).IIFCL is a public corporation wholly owned by the GoI, Ministry of Finance and is engaged in providing low cost, long term project finance and credit guarantees to PPP and Private projects in infrastructure sectors including Roads & Highways, Rail and air transport, Ports & Shipping, Thermal & Hydro Power, Renewable Energy and others.

Prior to joining IIFCL, Mr Kaushik was handling Financial Markets in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance, where he handled policy and regulatory matters relating to Capital Markets, Foreign Institutional Investment, Foreign Exchange Management and External Commercial Borrowing. He has also worked as Director of the Fund-Bank (Multilateral Institutions) Division in the Finance Ministry, where he was handling policy matters relating to IFC, WB and IMF and development financing. In his previous assignments in the IAS, he served as Secretary of Kerala State for Ports and Managing Director & CEO to set up the $2bn Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala – the International transhipment Terminal has been successfully awarded and is now under advanced construction, he also served as the Founding Director to establish the new Indian Institute of Management, IIM at Calicut – a leading national business school and as the District Collector of Palghat district in the State of Kerala, where he effectively implemented the Modernising Government program to make Palghat the first fully computerised district headquarters and also prepared the plan for establishing an Indian Institute of Technology in Kerala.

He is an MBA in Finance from London Business School (UK) and Mechanical Engineer from BITS Pilani, Mr Kaushik has more than two decades of experience including Global Investment Banking. He held key management positions viz Managing Director and Head of Research at HSBC Securities, India and Managing Director of Equities at Lehman Brothers, India. His profession highlights also include Equity Analyst at Bank of America Securities (Europe) and as Corporate Finance Manager at ING Barings (UK), in London. 


Shri Pankaj Jain
Joint Secretary (IF) ,Deptt. of Financial Services,
Ministry of Finance

Shri Pankaj Jain has been appointed by the Central Government as Government Nominee Director of the Board of IIFCL w.e.f 1st January 2016 until further orders.
Pankaj Jain is an IAS officer of the 1990 batch, currently the Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce from where he has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce followed by an MBA from FMS Delhi. He also has a professional qualification in the discipline of accounting as an Associate of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has worked for the Governments of Assam and Meghalaya. This encompasses being District Magistrate at Shillong and Tura along with assignments in the Secretariat and State Corporations dealing with Power, Planning, Information Technology, Livelihood Promotion and Industries as well as being Director with the Government of India in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. His work experience also includes a three year stint with the British International Aid Agency - the Department for International Development (DFID) as Governance Adviser and Senior Program Manager. His areas of interest include Intellectual Property Rights where he has collaborated with UNIDO to develop an IPR guide for the Indian Toy Industry. He has also been a consultant to the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Asian Productivity Organisation on adoption of IT by small and medium enterprises in India and Bangladesh.
Ms. Sharmila Chavaly
Joint Secretary (Infrastructure & Investment Division) ,Department of Economic Affairs
Government of India

Ms. Sharmila Chavaly has been appointed as Government Nominee Director on the Board of Directors of India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) w.e.f 22nd October 2012 by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India.

Ms. Chavaly, is an officer of Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) (1986 Batch) and has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs. Prior to the present assignment she held the post of Executive Director (Railway Board). She also earlier held the position of Director (ADB) with Dept. of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance. 

Shri. Praveen Mahto
Shri Praveen Mahto is an officer from the 1992 batch of the Indian Economic Service. He has a post graduate degree in Economics. Mr. Mahto is presently holding the position of Adviser (PAMD/PPPAU) in the NITI Aayog.  Prior to this assignment, he held the positions of Director in the erstwhile Planning Commission and the Office of Development Commissioner (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises).
Shri. Rajeev Rishi
Scheduled Commercial Bank Nominee Director
Shri Rajeev Rishi joined as Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India with effect from 01.08.2013.  Prior to this assignment, he was Executive Director in Indian Bank which responsibility he was heading since October 2010. 
Shri Rishi also served as Director of Indbank Merchant Banking Services Ltd., Indfund Management Ltd and Ind Bank Housing Ltd.
Shri Rajeev Rishi started his banking career with Oriental Bank of Commerce as Probationary Officer on 12th May, 1979.  He served for over three decades in Oriental Bank in various positions and geographies.
Shri Rishi is associated with various financial institutions in different capacities and currently holding following positions :
-      Chairman of Standing Committee on HR  of Indian Banks Association
-      Chairman of Negotiating Committee of IBA for Wage Revision of Bank Employees
-      Member on the Governing Board of I B P S
-      Member on the Governing Board of NIBM
-      Director, Indo Zambia Bank Ltd, Lusaka, Zambia
-      Director, Indian Institute of Banking & Finance
Shri Rishi has been a University Rank Holder, national Merit Scholar and is a law graduate from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
He is a sport enthusiast and represented his College in Table Tennis and Chandigarh in National Roller Skating meet
Shri. Animesh Chauhan
Shri Animesh Chauhan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, assumed charge of the Bank on 31st December, 2014. Born on 30th June 1957, Shri Chauhan is a Graduate in Commerce and has also done JAIIB.
Shri Chauhan started his career on 17th January, 1979 in Bank of Baroda as Probationary Officer and was elevated as General Manager in February 2010. He is an experienced banker and has worked in various capacities across locations. He also has the experience in handling overseas operations, as he headed London (Main) branch for over three years. He was Zonal Head/SLBC Convenor of Rajasthan Zone from June 2011 to August 2013.
Shri Chauhan has also worked as Chairman of The Nainital Bank Limited, Nainital from December 2007 to May 2011.

Shri Animesh Chauhan joined Central Bank of India on his elevation as Executive Director on   5th August, 2013 and he was overseeing the portfolios such as Retail Banking, Information Technology, Transaction Banking, Priority Sector, MSME and Recovery.

 Shri. V. K. Bhasin
Part-Time Non-Official Director

Mr. Vinod Kumar Bhasin is our Part-time Non official Director. He holds B.Com (Hons), M.Com, LLB and MBA Degrees and Diplomas in Labor Laws and Corporate Law and Secretarial Practice. He has also done Course in the Drafting of Legislation and advising in International Contracts from University of London. He has about 36 years experience (32 years as a Group ‘A’ Officer in the Central Government, Regulator and 4 years in PSUs). He has held the post of Secretary to GoI in the Legislative Department of Ministry of Law and Justice and Head of the Legal Division and Principal Legal Advisor in the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. He has experience in drafting legislations, legal matters, and laws relating to Companies/ Taxation/ Competition/ Securities/ Insurance/ Banking and Regulatory Affairs etc.. He has been Government Nominee Director in a Public Sector Bank and also been Member of many Committees. He has drafted many Government Bills introduced in the Parliament of India (including laws on the Companies/ Taxation/ Competition/ Securities/ Insurance/ Banking/ Commodities/ Special Economic Zones/ Lokpal/ Pension/ Finance Bills etc. He was deputed to USA/ UK/ Australia/ Korea/ Singapore to represent the Central Government/ Telecom Regulator to have interaction with Insurance Regulator/ Securities Regulator/ Banking Regulator of those countries and study the laws and practices followed by them. 

 Shri. J. Venkateswarlu
Part-Time Non-Official Director

Shri J. Venkateswarlu is a Part-time Non official Director on the Board of (IIFCL)* appointed by Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. He is a Commerce Graduate from Andhra University (1979) and became an Associate Member of ICAI in 1983 and became a Fellow Member in 1990. He is in the profession of Chartered Accountancy for the last 28 years, dealing in the subjects of Accountancy, Auditing, Banking, Finance, Taxation, Corporate and other Commercial Laws.
He was elected to the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) for 3 terms (1998 to 2007) and was its Chairman in 2004-05. He was elected to the Central Council of ICAI for 3 terms (2007-10; 2010-13 & 2013-16). In the last 8 years, in the Central Council of ICAI, he has been associated with various Standing and Non-Standing Committees as Chairman and Member. Currently, he is the Chairman of Committee on Accounting Standards for Local Bodies, Vice-Chairman of Committee on Banking, Insurance & Pension and Member of Disciplinary Committee, ASB, AASB, Corporate Laws & Corporate Governance Committee, Expert Advisory Committee, Professional Development Committee and SMP Committee. He has participated in the meetings of SMP Committee of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) as Technical Advisor to the Indian Member of the said Committee.
He has been a speaker at the various National and Regional Seminars and Conferences organized by ICAI and its Regional Councils and Branches
